that's probably not gonna change

From as long as I can remember,
I've always been one of those girly girls.
The kind who likes pink, lace, and flowered things.
Ralph Lauren RTW Spring 2012

"Adalae, your every moment is a masterpiece
Ralph Lauren RTW Spring 2012

Adalae, your're only precious 'til you meet your needs

Ralph Lauren RTW Spring 2012

Adalae, you say we'll see you on the silver screen

Ralph Lauren RTW Spring 2012

But when you're down

You know this town's just not for you

Ralph Lauren RTW Spring 2012

Adalae, everybody knows you're working hard
Adalae, you see the sunset on the boulevard
Adalae, your only enemy's the calendar

My guy and I saw some art

Michele Mayfield
She has religious themes and elements in her art.

This is one picture, as a whole.

 I took photos of sections,

Oh Adalae, I think you're losing your head

Let's take these rumors and put them to bed

With these complaints for dedications tried and true

And since you always get your way, this one's for you

Can't help but think it was something I said

Cursing at the stars above

by Texas artist Michele Mayfield

Adalae, maybe you'll never get a second chance
Adalae, you're only social on the stimulants

It's ok cause everybody knows your circumstance
SO arch your back girl cause you're always on display
And you know you're only worth what you get paid
my art journal pages
with paint, texture, shape, color, & words

My art journal pages
On the right it says:
Because it's deep inside yourself

It says: At heart I'm a writer. Even if I just jot down my own observations. Notes to self. My favorite art supplies are pens. Books full of words recorded on and off since 7th grade. Stationary I've still saved, from letters I used to write, all the time, through the mail. Other people's stories, as told through my perceptions.

I'm wearing my favorite dress,
 when I was in kindergarten.
It's a dress my mom sewed,
when I was a flower girl,
 in someone's wedding.

Oh Adalae, I think you're losing your head
Let's take these rumors and put them to bed
Can't help but think it was something I said
Cursing at the stars above

Oh Adalae i know the sun's in your eyes
You've got it all but still you wear a disguise

Whatever you do, don't apologize

Nobody can buy your love"

  2. Miss Daisy is about midway between total tomboy and girlie girl. She dresses a lot in shirts, and stuff but shows her girl side when it comes to stuffed animals and babies.

  6. You look so sweet, as a little girl or now, both ways are beautiful! I loved this artist you brought to us now, and your art journal as aaaalways - it inspires me a lot, believe me! As well as the models now, I am heading to a fabric shop to have some of their skirts! So thanks for all!
I also loved very very very much the words/poem you showed... nothing can buy anybody's love... and when she is down, that is not her town... wow!

  11. I think I can join you in the girly girl club. When I was young and we were watching Cinderella all I could talk about was whether her dress was better in blue or pink. My mom, sitting on the couch crying at the beauty of the story, worried I'd grow up and have no depth to me, haha. I think I proved her wrong. But I think people like us just appreciate visual senses quite strongly, whether it's colour or texture. I love my sports, but the other day I realized I was out rollerblading in a pink top AND pink shorts!
