my fascination with feathers

I've liked feathers for a long time.
I know they were trendy last year.

I did a feathers in my yard  postin 2008.

I also showed feather photos my guy took, in my wondering post of 2009.

I really like these
anna sui spring 2011 accessories.

"Wind, bring us the feathers that birds no longer need," Coyote chanted. "Hawk and dove. Tarred feathers of the gull. Shimmer peacock plumes.

The wind sounded wilder.

Cherokee looked out of the horizon. As the sun rose, the sky filled with feathery pink clouds. Then it seemed as if the clouds were flying toward Cherokee and Coyote.

The rising sun flashed in their eyes for a moment,
and as Cherokee stood, blind on the hill top,
she felt softness on her skin.

The wind was full of feathers. Small, bright feathers like petals, plain gray ones, feathers flecked with gleaming iridescent lights, like tropical waves.

Me wearing one of my feather necklaces.

They swirled around Cherokee and Coyote, tickling their faces. Cherokee felt as if she could lift her arms and be carried away on wings of feathers and wind.

Me in a couple pairs of my feather earrings.

My art journal pages using real feathers.
It says:
There are lots of birds and feathers here.
We've often found them in our yard.
We hear birds all the time, throughout the year.
When my mom and cousin came here, in fall of 2008, they commented about the amount of different types of birds. When my guy and I visited the place we used to live, I asked him if he noticed there were fewer birds. He did. Then I said, but they have the mountains,
and in Texas, we don't.

  1. Love your feathery journal pages! I got a pair of white feather earrings last year when they were trendy and wore them a few times, but I don't think earrings are my thing. Have a great weekend, Teddi!

  2. ps A bag hook is something you set on a table or counter and hang your bag from if you don't have a chair peg to hang it on or the floor is questionable.

pps My ciggies, condoms, drugs, and tampons are all in my wallet! Haha! j/k
