flowers & sunglasses

It's Two Birds: Inspiration Monday.
My version of

today's inspiration is
Gwyneth Paltrow

...It was spring at last, and I wanted to breathe spring, see and smell spring, and look like spring. Outside my window, the trees between the stoops were jubilant, dressed in pigment permanent green light, but the oil-painted colors had it all wrong.
It wasn't permanent. It was all too brief...

...The petals look like wings of fuchsia butterflies
about to fly out the window...

...Five glass cases were filled with blown forms, some with iridescent detailing in the motifs of feathers, flames, and arabesques. In the glass, streams meandered, clouds drifted, blossoms opened...

...beneath a magnolia tree radiant with enormous creamy blossoms, each petal a cup of sunlight...

My fringed jacket is thrifted.
Also seen worn & styled differently here.

..."Things that have been lost and found are doubly precious, don't you think?" she said cheerfully, "people."...

and watched the pieces crash...

"You mean seeing art can make a person moral?...
..."If he's open to it, because it make his soul better.
More appreciative and sensitive and compassionate"...

Another art journal page

..."Fog comes across the water,"..."so I like to have a palette of cool, dusky colors like those hollyhocks, foxgloves, hydrangeas, and lilacs against the grey air."...

Art Journal page
from May 11, 2012
It says: All day the sky was grey,
 threatening to rain,
and when it finally did that night,
it pounded the roof,
while the hail pelleted down,
Lightening striking the tree limbs around.

  8. also, in response to your question, all i am wearing is the dress and a slip. the slip is vintage and pretty non-sheer (i could even wear the slip on its own without being able to see through it) (not that i would).
