fancy pants

There aren't any fancy pants here.
However, I do fancy these outfits.

80's Southwest Sunset Skirt
70's Polka Dot Dress
60's Paisley MIni Dress

I fancy these shoes.

Fresh Cut Grass Irregular Choice Shoes

I fancy these children.
 One of my twin nieces
Hopefully the other one of my twin nieces.
I can't tell them apart.
My nephew Baby JJ
My nephew Speed Racer

That was the end of the fancy.
Now it's just me.

Little me a million years ago
Big me 2 years ago
My guy and I, in 2010

My art journal pages

My favorite childhood 4th of July was at the forebay, in California, with my family and friends. We swam in the bay. We got dunked in the dunking machine. We had a BBQ picnic, and watched fireworks.
 I'm sure I got a sunburn.
I'm sure didn't like that part.

When I wore red, white,
and blue, in August 2011, in this post.
When I wore red, white and blue,
in April 2012, in this post.

My nephew, Speed Racer,
in his front yard
My nephew Baby JJ
My twin nieces with their grandma
and great aunt
Little me, my grandma, and my brother,
it looks like a 4th of July.
I think my mom made my top.

My art
Phase 1

It looks scary because it's a blind contour drawing,
which means you aren't allowed to look at the paper, as you draw.

Phase 2
I was not allowed to erase the pencil drawing. I had to shade on top of the pencil with crayon.
This time I could look at the paper.
My art journal pages
Truthful and trusting
Enjoys air conditioning
Draws or writes nearly daily
Dreams of the mountains and the beach
Inspired by art, music, fashion, and the 1960's.

Tries hard to do, and be her best
Easily excited and entertained
Doesn't do yardwork
Doesn't mind doing laundry.
Is one who thinks far too much.
I believe in admitting when I'm wrong.
I believe kindness is free.
I believe in recycling.
I believe in global warming.
I believe in silly, laughing at absurdity,
and showing the ridiculous.
I believe in love, even when it stinks.
I believe the best in people,
unless they show me otherwise.
I believe we are stronger,
 than we ever thought possible.
I believe in saying thank you
and good-bye.
I believe in cleaning my own mess.
I believe in leaving something better
 than you found it.

Now go forth and celebrate, if you feel like it!  :)

3 parts green 1 part blue

It brings to my mind mermaids and the sea.
For I actually sport this color combination quite frequently.

I dream of these 3 things:
Peter Pilotto Satin and Leather Sandals

Roberto Cavalli Printed Caftan
Dolce & Gabbana Print Pants

My real life things:

Mom made the 2 green earrings.
My friend made the peace earrings.
The antique looking pair belonged to my grandma.

My cousin made the butterfly bracelet.
My mom made the bracelets on the right.
My friend made the green and black bracelet.

Mom made the heart necklace.
My cousin made the green
 and the blue butterfly necklaces.

Some people I love:

My niece Lil Bug.
My nephew JJ, being held by his mom.
My husband took this photo.
I can't tell which twin niece this is.
I wasn't there, when my guy took this photo.
My nephew, Speed Racer
playing catch with his Dad.
My husband took this photo as well.
He's running in his backyard.
I'm not sure if I took this or my guy did.
 On my birthday in 2006
I think we used a tripod on this day.

In May I saw this. No it isn't in Texas.
We don't have mountains where I live.

In my art/music room,
3 green ribbons and 1 blue ribbon.

My art journal page

where I answered the question

If you could scream something

at the top of your lungs right now
,
what would it be?

This was on June 10

Another art journal page:

The quote says: "Once you can accept that the universe as being something expanding into an infinite nothing which is something,
wearing stripes with plaid is easy."

cause now it's dark

It rained today, and I feel like some sunshine.

Bring on more yellow, orange, and red.

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,

And I say it's all right

Close up photo, my guy took,
at his parents' house.

Another flower photo, my guy took,
in parents' back yard.

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

My nephew Speed Racer,
 with his orange train track.
Do you see my guy's black shoe, on the right?

Here comes the sun,
 here comes the sun

And I say it's all right

My niece Lil bug.

Little darling, the smiles returning to their faces
My niece EJ holding her brother,
my nephew Baby JJ.

My art journal pages.
On the left, it says:

Search for the pretty, brilliant, light, radiance.

June Goals: Do something creative everyday, upload photos of Speed Racer for SL, write, read, draw, take photos, see live bands, have adventures, learn, celebrate

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun,
here comes the sun
And I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Yes, that is little me looking like a hot mess.

I have no idea about the mess,
 on the couch behind me.
I'm also wondering what is up with my hair,
and whose boxers am I wearing?

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting

Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
And I say it's all right
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
It's all right, it's all right
