the girl in the movie

This is a really old photo of me,
in my old back yard.
I miss this pink blouse.
I think I was trying to imitate  Molly Ringwald .
Andie, from Pretty In Pink,
is one of my fave movie characters.
I've lost count of how many times,
I've watched this movie.

Andie: I just want them to know
 that they didn't break me.

Andie:Well, I loved her, too, you know.
She just didn't love us back.

Iona:Would have been a fairy tale if my date hadn't been the only one there with a...wife and two kids.
Duckie: You know what an older women does for me?
Iona: Changes your diapers?
Duckie
: Touché.

Duckie
:
I'm off like a dirty shirt.
Andie:You know what the really sad thing is?
I bet the people that live there
don't think it's half as pretty as I do.
 Andie: Were you here long?
Duckie: No, no! Three, four... hours.
It must be, like, a hormone thing. Every song is making me sick.
Iona:You could say that life itself, is a stupid tradition.
Duckie: This is a really volcanic ensemble you're wearing, it's really marvelous!
Duckie: Good Morning! Welcome to another day of higher education!
Steff: You know, I've been out with a lot of girls at this school. I don't see what makes you so different.
Andie: Well, I have taste.
Andie: I don't know what I'm doing!
Iona: Wishful make-upping!
Iona: You know every time you go to the john,
you lose IQ points!

This is an actual song from the movie, that was NOT on the soundtrack. I once asked my best friend to search for the CD as a present. She did, but there were only 2 good songs on it. :P

POSITIVELY LOST ME by THE RAVE-UPS

..."You lost a lot when you lost me
Six paperback books and a dying tree
A looking glass and a diamond ring
You lost me and you lost some dreams...
Two blankets and a bookshelf piece
A picture frame and a couple keys
Stole a couple of dollars that I won't see
You lost a lot when you lost me.

You lost my face, you lost my laugh

and then you lost my confidence

She loves me, she loves me not

Show this piggie the way home"

  10. You did a pretty good job at matching the Ringwald look from Pretty in Pink.

I'm surprised she kinda faded in popularity and acting after the 80's. The Breakfast Club is easily one of my favorite movies.

  25. Ooooo, I ADORE Pretty in Pink! 80s movies are the best! You make a charming Molly Ringwald in that pretty pink top of yours! And I can't even fathom how different your hair was back then. Crazy!
