a wash of dark denim

Today my outfit is based on 14 Shades of Grey,

When someone chooses a work of art, to inspire a look.

Today's art inspiration:
Left: Emilie Floege by Gustav Klimt
Right: My version of the look.

"A man can be destroyed but

Not defeated

Even when he's lying black and blue

My blouse, skirt, tank, and shoes were thrifted.

Living on a faith above his ceiling

Never going to know if it rings true..."

  1. Wow, I can really see your inspiration in this look, it carried through to your outfit perfectly. (I love that picture as well, it's so fluid looking and the colors really enhance that.) I love that so many of your outfits are thrifted, you are SUCH a thrifting queen!

  2. Love your take in the gustav Klimt painting, the first quote: A man can be destroyed but
    Not defeated
Even when he's lying black and blue, it's so true. Reminds me of all that people that have died because they believe in something :)

  16. OH I ADORE KLIMT!!!
great approach on copying the look.. I think I've liked this inspo the most.. lets see you channeling more ladies from paintings next time, sounds fun!
mona lisa? venus de milo (super sexy haha) or napoleon bonaparte?
anyways..thanks for the comment and support in this new path I've taken, I seriously decided I had to leave and just left it all.. quit my life to start a new one, or maybe it's just a Pause mode..and then I'll get back to it, but now, I really needed a change.. thanks for your sweet comments!
    p.s. ...loving the moon photos!

  17. I can really see how the painting translated into your outfit Teddi, great job! The V pattern on your skirt is really flattering and enhances its pencil skirt. Your husband is a talented photographer. I could see all those photos printed and hung in a single frame as a cool piece of art!

  21. I love your Klimt inspired outfit, my friend ! You are the thrifting queen, absolutely :-) I love the fact you don't follow trends, you live the trends yourself, and make them your own ! I am more proud of the outfits I wear when they aren't just a trend thing, like my latest one. Something tells me you would like my new boots, am I right ? ;) Many kisses !
