Today's Inspiration Monday!
When the ladies Megan and Nora of Two Birds Boutique
choose an outfit to inspire a look.
I've had this song playing in my head lately.
We listened to the Starfish album by The Church on our road trip.
Years ago, I teased my guy for listening to it all the time.
choose an outfit to inspire a look.
Here's my version of the look. To see how others styled it, go to inspiration monday: spy games. |
Today's inspiration is: |
Blake Lively of course I liked her in Gossip Girl, I'm so sad that show is over. What did you guys think of the ending? I also liked Blake in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies. |
My mom made the boot chains in December 2011. My boots and purse are thrifted. |
This zine called Taboo was made by Brittney from Flow Disruption. |
This gorgeous magnet was Made by Nicole. It's my favorite magnet. :) To see more of my magnet collection go to Collections, awards, the cars. |

"...'Cause it's here, it's where the air is clear,
Where far off things could be quite near.
No repairs are needed, just a spark"...The Church
I watched the first season of GG with Daisy, but we never picked up the 2nd season. She and I liked it, but somehow we moved on to other shows/movies.
ReplyDeleteTeddi! Wow! I love your version much more than Lively's. Great effort. The boots especially are quite fine. Are you following me? We should.
ReplyDeletewow, that was an unusual look for Blake, usually she wears more feminine outfits. (Not that I'm complaining, i love this!) I really love your take on this, it seems right up your alley and your boots are completely killer and the polka dotted scarf adds a great little bit of fun!
ReplyDeleteI have a confession ... I've never seen Gossip Girl. I did see Travelling Pants, though, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The black and white accessories look really nice with this look (and your mom's boot chains!). The white gives a nice pop. And those photos of New Mexico - ugh, I wish I could just hop into a pixel and magically appear there. It looks beautiful.
ReplyDeletePS - Thank you for the shout out! :')
GG is (was) not my thing so I know practically nothing about it.. but those films you mentioned! oh my, I LOVED those! though I didn't notice/know Blake was playing there, hehe. after watching the first film I knew I had to go to Greece. and I did. twice :)
ReplyDeleteanyway, I like it how you have spiced up your classy boots by using those chains and charms.
Maiken,

Loving the polka dot scarf. Journaling is beautiful as always, you need to make cards or something that you can sell with your art.

Teddi! thanks! Thank you for coming to say some nice things. Mountains are great for no tornadoes and lots of water for our desert climate. I think I am following you but I'm not sure. Come on back and join, too?
ReplyDeleteCute look. I like how you tried to copy her look.
