rock candy crystals

...When he saw that every branch of every tree was encased in ice,
My skirt was thrifted.

Texas snow in our backyard, 10 days ago.
No, it didn't last long.
Yes, we are glad the temperature is warmer again.

My cousin made my necklace.

Cow photos my guy took in the Colorado snow,
on our road trip in December.

You might not be able to see,
but my nails are actually painted gunmetal and dark brown on every other finger,
and a stripe of silver polish is down the middle.

My twin nieces in the December Utah snow,
 in their yard,
with their dad, my brother n-law

My mom gave me the sweater.

I wore it before, here.

My shoes were thrifted.

My art journal pages from early January.
all papers were painted or inked by me and collaged together.
These pages were inspired by this post by Donna Downey.

It says:

the world of never
Live in action
Show Heart
Celebrating like

I really love this outfit. It's perfect for winter; cool colors without being drab.

I really like your tights, dear! And I never thought about the fact that if Cinderella had glass slippers, you saw her toes through the shoes.:) But imagine how painful glass shoes would be... Just a thought.:)

Cute striped tights! And that necklace is very pretty. Yes I am making my hubby go to the horror movie. Lol am I mean? He hates them and I love them but I get scared and need him there.

We got our first taste of winter today here. Freezing rain. Which means frozen car :(

This outfit is so pretty! I'm hereby dubbing it the "pretty, metallic, snow faery." I'm surprised you got snow, though. Does TX get much snow? We were having a beautiful winter in CT and then the temp plummeted ... drastically. :/

That very first quote is really beautiful, too!

Your backyard looks like a garden I would like to walk through (hopefully you are not creeped out and saying to yourself thank goodness kat is thousands of miles away, heehee). It looks very pretty with that light dusting of snow.

Kids are so cute in the snow, it's so much fun and magical for them.

It looks so gorgeous there with the snow on the plats, it's really striking with the white on the green! (Our plants are usually dead and brown when we get snow.) You skirt is so pretty, it looks really warm and toasty and those are such awesome stockings!
