color clash

A compilation of things abstractly mixed like paint spatters. They share elements of green and blue hues.

Paint Splatter Skirt by NoBigTruth

Promise Mult-Color Accent Shoes

Color Clash Blouse

Abstract Leggings
Vintage Herbert Levine Shoes
That's me, letting my nieces try on
my hair things, from my suitcase.

You may notice EJ's painterly like spills,
on her clothes. She's wearing my hair accessories,
and bracelets.

My niece Lil bug is also sporting painterly like food spills, while wearing my headband.

The only paint like thing here is my nail polish.
I'm holding my nephew, Baby JJ.

Neither my guy nor my nephew, Speed Racer,
spilled anything on their shirts, not yet, anyway.
I do want to point out that my guy is wearing my
t-shirt. No, it didn't fit him. We needed to do laundry or he forgot to pack enough shirts.

Why yes, I did use paint on these art journal pages,
from June 23, 2012.

These art journal pages are from
from June 26 and June 30, 2012.  If you guessed I used paint on these art journal pages too, you would be one very smart cookie.

Too bad I can't give you a cookie, to reward you for intelligence.

into the blind unknown

I'm linking up to Thursdays are for Thrifters.

This was a large skirt I found at the thrift store.
Then I asked my mom to resew it my size.

Orange bracelet: dollar store
Green & black bracelet: handmade by a friend

Green blue & bracelet: handmade by mom
Orange, & white bracelet: handmade by my cousin

My cousin made my guitar pick earrings,
as shown here.

I got this purse from my sister n-law.
My mom made the bracelet.

I made the black fused glass charm,
in jewelry class, photos shown here.

My shoes are thrifted.

The problem with this skirt is it's sheer.
That means I have to wear leggings with it.

I hand painted my leggings.
I was attempting to make them,
 resemble colorful flowers.

Art Journal pgs.

There I am minus make-up.
I'm wearing my Against Me! concert t-shirt.

We've seen the band Against Me!,
in concert 3 times.

This photo is when we saw them at
Warped Tour here in 2008.

This photo is from when we saw them in 2010.
There are more photos from that concert here.

Cavalier Eternal is one of my fave songs by them.

These are my favorite lyrics from the song:
..."Me and this guitar
are going swinging
blind into the unknown.

You know, a song and a stage
is all I ever needed of a home.

Someday I will call from a payphone
in a truckstop on the road

and you'll tell me how much better off
you've been on your own."...

kind of easter related

Or maybe it's all just April related.

Here's what I wish I wore on Easter:
Victorian Style Lace Top & Purple Camisole

Anna Sui Floral Top
Corduroy Skirt with Handmade Boombox Patch
Boho Dress
Purple Studded Shoes

Unfortunately I've been fighting a horrible cough
& cold for over a week, so on Easter Day,

this girl, (meaning me), was looking rough.

Here's what I wore in April last year.
April 2011
I made my headband.
My cousin made my necklace, & earrings.

April 2011

My friend made my bracelet.

Me with my guy in Easter 2010,
 at friend's house.

My mom made the jacket I'm wearing.
This April my twin nieces,
playing in their grandparents backyard.
Notice my favorite flowers, daffodils.

This April, my nephew with the Easter Bunny.
Can you tell he's at the grocery store?

My nephew & my brother,
on an Easter Egg Hunt, this year.

Notice the football Easter basket.

My art journal pages
It says: I don't have a secret happy place.
For I love my whole house.
Those look like Aunt Teddi's favorite chips, Cheetos.
I wonder what's in that yellow Easter egg.

I think my nephew might be dancing.

Georgia Bottoms by Mark Childress

...She would never forget how sunlight streamed through the wavery glass of her bedroom window. Sparkles of dust danced like tiny diamonds in a column of light. It was a moment of uncanny beauty, little jewels floating and sparkling, here in the middle of the room on this day...
