That's called living in deathly hot Texas.

This is my nephew, Speed Racer
with his new baby.
He just got it last Wednesday.
His parents bought it because he's an only child,
and they wanted him to learn to be gentle with little ones smaller than he. So far, he sleeps with it, and takes it with him in the car.  :)

I recently saw the movie Teachers, from 1984,
 and I really liked it. I'd never head of  it before.

I have a thing for teacher movies. I usually love them, & they nearly always make me cry. I've been like this since I was a little girl. When I first saw To Sir, With Love.

miss this...

I miss the sun. 

It's rained all week.




I miss the days like these photos,
 when I could go without a jacket.

For that was last month.
When it warm enough to ride a bike, 
without melting into a puddle.

 
  Lately all I've seen are mud puddles.
Then there's the humidity.
I sat in traffic for more than 3 hours yesterday.
It was only supposed to take 1 hour.
Whenever it rains here, there are traffic accidents.

 I miss petal pink flowers. 
So, I will look at things
 that remind me of spring,
like these colors.

I miss my twin nieces,
 for it's been more than 6 months.
I plan to see them this Sunday.   :)

I smile when I think of them being friends
for each other. I've heard that's how it is with twins.

  
I was reminded of paper dolls, in a book.

These are photos of my paper doll books,
I've had them for years. I got them as an adult.
I still like to look at their clothes.
I don't know if I ever plan to use them.

  My guy & I are going on a road trip. I don't know if I'll have much time on a computer.

Some things are difficult to predict,
like the weather.


I just hope it stops raining.
