kissy kiss

Today is inspiration monday!
When the ladies Megan and Nora from Two Birds Boutique
choose an outfit to inspire a look.

Here's my version of the look.
To see how others styled it

Today's inspiration is:
Elizabeth Olsen

I don't have a brocade skirt,
so I wore the brocade jacket my mom made.

My boots are thrifted.

Last fall, Maikeni blogi-part of me
nominated me for this sunshine award. Now I'll answer question 10.|

X. You and junk food. What kind of relationship do you have?
I think our culture, promotes junk food far too often, instead of promoting healthiness. I'm talking about through advertising. It's all part of the capitalist idea, and making money.  I think junk food is addicting, and they make it that way on purpose.
 I know I'm addicted.

Lately I've been eating mini Kit Kats,
 Hershey's Cookies 'n' Cream Kisses,

and Hershey's Milk Chocolate Kisses

That being said, I am very particular about knowing the ingredients of  what I eat. I try to eat a balance of vegetables, protein, and carbohydrates in every meal. I'm far from perfect. I do like kisses though. ;)

I don't want flowers because they'll wilt and die,
or I'll accidentally kill them, but I'll take your kisses anywhere, anytime, as long as you don't smell sour.

teacher movies

It's Inspiration Monday
When the ladies of Two Birds Boutique chose an outfit to inspire a personal look.

Here's my version.
My floral blouse and grey tank were thrifted.

Today's outfit inspiration is:
Elizabeth Olsen
To see what others wore, look here.

My plum suede boots are thrifted.
Yes, our grass is nearly dead.
That's called living in deathly hot Texas.

This is my nephew, Speed Racer
with his new baby.

He just got it last Wednesday.
His parents bought it because he's an only child,
and they wanted him to learn to be gentle with little ones smaller than he. So far, he sleeps with it, and takes it with him in the car.  :)

It says: Sometimes it was tough to decipher between her dreams and reality. What were illusions? When was she awake?

It says: Sometimes she tried to piece it all together.
All those images, all those colors, all those words.

I recently saw the movie Teachers, from 1984,
and I really liked it. I'd never head of  it before.

TEACHERS: Movie Trailer. Watch more top selected videos about: Ralph Macchio, Richard Mulligan

I have a thing for teacher movies. I usually love them, & they nearly always make me cry. I've been like this since I was a little girl.
When I first saw To Sir, With Love.
