back in may

I looked at these dresses, online.

The girl in these 3 photos is NOT me.

Floral 1970's Vintage Dress

This dress is no longer available at

Everybody's Buying Vintage.
This dress is also no longer available at

Everybody's Buying Vintage.

This is me.
I took self portraits in front of the mirror,
 in my bathroom.

I went to my friend's birthday party.
These are my friends A, & L.

I bought this book,
One Artist Journal by Orly Avineri.

I saw these views out someone else's car window.

I saw this art on the airport wall.

I got to see my nephews and my nieces.  :)

I sketched my nephew,
while he was at his grandma's house.

My wish for my nephews and my nieces is for you to know how truly you are loved by us. Even if we don't get to see you as often as we'd like because we live far away. We would enjoy taking you on adventures, and playing with your toys, or reading stories, getting messy, and getting clean. We would be honored to celebrate your milestones and achievements, or give your hugs and wipe away your tears. luv xo :)  words written 6-26-12

on memorial day

I spent time with one of my dear friends.

I took a photos of myself,
while my guy drove the truck.

This is my friend's backyard.

I painted my nails this nude color,
  while my friend planted petunias.

Fun fact: the pink bracelet was made by my mom.

My friend's son took our photos.

This was the view of the city from the freeway.

I wore this belt that my sister n-law gave me.

The blouse I wore was thrifted.

My nephew played with his train, at his grandma's house.
He also wore his T-Rex shirt,
and ate a banana for breakfast.

My nieces played together,
 at their grandparent's house.

They also dumped their toys all over the floor,
and colored their arms with markers. ;)

My guy took flower photos, in my mom's yard.

Yes, some of the mountains still have snow.

It was a very full day.

Me with my nieces EJ's on my lap.
Lil Bug is on the rocking horse.
My sweater & fingernails are powder blue.

My niece Lil Bug with the
 blue comb in her mouth.
More Lil Bug.
The blue comb has glitter.
EJ with snowflakes on her pants.
Her tooth brush is a blue animal.
Can you see Lil bug in the mirror?
EJ's saying cheese.

The powder blue sky at sunset.
The snowy mountains, in February.

My Art Journal Page with powder blue.
It says:
Sometimes the wind in her hair
was the closest thing to flying.

walk on

I know a girl that collects Precious Moments.
Me, in the back of my guy's truck.

I don't know when it started,
but she's been doing it for years.

Many of them are gifts,
 & some are figurines.

One of them is an angel.
It tops her Christmas tree.

I collect precious moments too,
but mine are different than she.

For I collect words,
 songs, scraps of paper,
images, as flashes of memories.
Things I want to remember.
Possibly frozen moments in time.

from Janel at Run With Scissors.

from one of my best friends.

from Kimmie bear at Crazy 4 Scrappin.
from Katja at Maedchenmitherz
from my darling girl Er.
from my dear friend Charity at A Lovely Little World.
My guy with our twin nieces.
Some people that I love.
I used to see a view like this, every time I went outside.
Every time I looked out my living room window.
Every time I drove anywhere in my car.
Now it's just something I see when I visit.
For I don't live in the same place anymore,
but really, do any of us?
For none of us are static.
We're always changing, in some form or another.
Some would even call it evolving.
I don't know what I call it.
Blah, blah, blah...
Me acting goofy.
Walk on... Rock on..
Neither one is right nor wrong.

Movielike Lyrics
Artist(Band):Jimmy Eat World

"My face coming down in streaks...
Not the way I hoped for
 Welcome to New York...
Nothing movie-like
Nothing magic
People just tire to fight the constant battle
Waiting to see a sign?
Then you've seen the best already"...
