Now that I think about it, peace signs faded into more a retro cool piece of art than a meaningful statement ever since the end of the Vietnam War.

ReplyDeleteAnd again, Teddi, your post made me think... I loved the book quote "fear and lies, to make people love me or stay". In my case, I am constantly afraid that people will leave me by dying. Well, I developed this trauma, but it's understandable.

I like reading your (book?) quotes peppered throughout your posts, and this one is no exception. To want for someone you love what they want for themselves - that's a beautiful thought. But I'm intrigued by the rings quote - I don't see ring-bearing fingers as not belonging to me, but it's a interesting way to see the world!
