who's floyd?

"You say the hill's too steep to climb

Climb it.

The love bag was my present from a friend.
My black belt was crocheted by my mother-n-law.
The purple suede ankle boots I've had for years.

You say you'd like to see me try
Climbing
.

You pick the place and I'll choose the time
I'm wearing my Pink Floyd t-shirt.
And I'll climb
That hill in my own way.
Just wait a while for the right day.

And as I rise above
the tree lines and the clouds

Can you see my peacock earrings?
My friend gave me those too.

I look down, hearing the sound
of the things you've said today.

Fearlessly the idiot faced the crowd
Smiling.

Merciless the magistrate turns 'round Frowning
Scenes from our road trip after Christmas.
And who's the fool
who wears the crown?

And go down,

in your own way

And every day is the right day
And as you rise above
the fear-lines in his brow

You look down,
hearing the sound
of the faces in the crowd.

This is another photo of me,
wearing my Pink Floyd t-shirt, in January 2010.

Yes, it's true that once upon a time, I really did think one of the guy's in the band was named Floyd.
Now I know better. It's none of them.
There's an article here. It's about the 2 blues musicians that theories say the band's named after.

In these pictures you remind me of the blogger from The Coveted. It must be the angle of the photos, the look in the eyes, the smile... something like that. Has anyone ever said that to you before?
