this past week

I wore this outfit inspired by 
this inspiration monday of two birds challenge.

My dress and shoes were thrifted.


This week's inspiration was:
Kerry Washington

I admired the outfits of Kerry Washington's
 character Olivia Pope worn in the TV show Scandal.


I drooled over these black and white Juicy Couture Runway Looks.

I laughed over these fun photos
of my nephew Speed Racer.

I was glad to get some photos of
my twin nieces and nephew.

I read and enjoyed these 3 books:

1.Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham
(Yes, that's the actress Lauren Graham of Parenthood & Gilmore Girls).
2. Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster
3. The Art of Forgetting by Camille Noe Pagan

I scrapbooked my Florida Palm Tree photos from our West Palm Beach, trip in August of 2007. 

I relished the cooler Autumn temperatures outside.

    oh I love the sunny vibe of your relaxation photos! looks just perfect :)
    and your thrifted dress looks as good as those runway ensembles in my opinion. black & white create such strong outfits, especially when there are patterns and prints involved. a pretty magical combo, I think.
    by the way, Florida sounds like a fairytale to me because I've only seen it from TV, haha. I really like your vacation collage!

    I like the spin you put on the inspiration photo with your bow necked dress. It reminds me of a post I did a while back where I added a thin black scarf tied in a bow to a blouse.

    I haven't watched Scandal but seeing those photos, I kind of want to for the fashion alone! All three of those coats are swoon-worthy.

    LOOOOOOOVE your dress!! I would wear that now in my Springtime!!
    Olivia Pope is one of my favourite dressers, she's always so chic!
    I did not know Lauren Graham wrote a book, I must check it out! Is it any good?
