For Those About to Rock School at House of Blues. I always love to see kids playing. Some were more into it than others. Some astounded me.

sculptural gallery
Rebecca Low Sculptural Metal Gallery & Studio is a creative place to visit. She had this piece where she encouraged me to touch it, on the breasts or the behind of the piece it will speak "That tickles." She had these crispy, light cookies that tasted of caramelized sugar that her friend makes for her. When I complimented her she said, "I'm having fun." And I truly believe she is.

before the fall
This was the best thing at six flags. Before the fall is my new favorite texas band find! They are so good. They are like a combination of Story of The Year and Bullet for My Valentine, but they play their own stuff. This was how we ended our adventure. Talk about perfect. The girl beside me in front row, who I think was with the lead singer, but who knows.
She says, “They’re gonna play Bon Jovi now.” I’m like “Shut up! No, don’t play Bon Jovi.” The guy sings into the microphone, “She said, shut up, shut up, shut up!” I said, ”If they’re gonna play Bon Jovi they should play something from the first album, not Livin on a Prayer.” She says “This is what they know. They know this.” I said, “Okay if they are going to play Bon Jovi, then who’s gonna be Richie Sambora?” She says, “Gio.”Who’s Gio? “The lead singer.” Oh. So they totally rocked the song.

After the set, J’s telling me we’ve seen them before, but I swear we haven’t. I’m asking the bassist where they’ve played to see if we had, but we hadn’t. Another totally cool thing was the guitarist wearing a Slash t shirt. (since I’m currently trying to learn Welcome to the Jungle. And no it isn’t any good).
six flags
six flags was last weekend. the weather was perfect, not too hot. the waiting was lame. after most of the rides i was like, is that it? so unimpressed with the superman, which is the photo that goes straight up. i like roller coasters, (but that shouldn't be a big surprise). our fav was a green one that we rode twice, with no wait :). johnny got really dizzy. i was only a little bit. there isn't anything like a water park/beach. only this water ride, and yes we got soaked! the band is called riptide. they did some originals mixed with covers. they were only ok.
at lola's
We saw two SXSW bands at lola's last weekend. My favorite was Radio Moscow. They are the photo on top. They sound like Hendrix, and y'all know I'm into that. The band below is called The Woes and they had all kinds of instruments like the keyboard, accordian, french horn, tuba, trumpet, and of course the guitar.
