dragon festival

john dragged me to the dragon festival. when he told me about it i started laughing. i was laughing when we got out of the car. i was laughing the whole time we were there at the absurdity and complete lameness of the whole thing. even the boat race was dull. the funniest part was when the announcer told the bad karoke singer she should try out for american idol. she said she planned on it. that's when john started laughing on the way out. yeah we all know i don't need drugs to laugh at the joke of my life or life in general.

edgefest 2009

we saw 10 years with my favorite bassist, framing hanley, red jumpsuit apparatus, anberlin, and we ended with the used (a utah band). we didn't stay for the whole thing because it was too crowded, we couldn't get close to the stage, and we were over it. each band only did like a 5 song set (which i don't feel anyway). it just soldifies my belief about big concerts: i'm into them.

I didn't really want to go, because this isn't generally my type of band. I had fun though. John is good at pushing me to try new things.
