blogging break

My life has bumps in the road, treasures, great love, and complications, just like yours.
Due to the energy these things consume,
I'm taking a break from blogging.

These are some runway looks that I think would work for holiday celebrations.

In Texas we've been snowed/iced in since Friday.
That means everything has been closed.
We are ready for the sun to warm us up again!

Sometimes I discover,
what I thought knew before,
was no longer relevant.
Things change,
people change,
I change,
ideas change,
Life changes.
Sometimes there's an end.
Sometimes there's a beginning.

Dear blog friends, I'm sending you fabulous wishes of grand moments with family, friends, good food, wonderful music, and joyful fun!
Keep creating, or doing whatever it is that makes you happy.
All the best to you, with peace and love,
Teddi :)

when it was october

I used a magazine cover outfit as my inspiration.
Hello ridiculous poses.

Here's my version of the look.
My blouse was thrifted.

Today's outfit inspiration is:
Elle August 2013 cover with Amanda Seyfried

My black boots were thrifted.

My nephew Speed Racer wore his Jedi costume.

My twin nieces and nephew got all dressed up.

I worked on pages of my Florida trip from 2007.

written at the airport July 31, 2007
painted 2008 or 2009?

Full moon this morning. Only slept 2-3 hrs.
My guy is groggy.
It's 6:15 am.
We went 1 hour before flight leaves.
I was freaking out in the security line, waiting for my guy to come back. He was parking the car.
I wanted him to make it in time.
(P. S. : He did).

The last thing anyone wants is to miss their plane, unless they're in some played out fake movie/story, that I still seem to fall for.

I found a runway outfit I was inspired by,
and wore my version of the look,

I also wore this  Hendrix shirt here,

and the garden green pants here.

Today's outfit inspiration is:

When I was in high school, I wanted to live in a story book house covered in
garden green vines.

"...And his tears fall and burn the garden green

And so castles made of sand fall in the sea, eventually...

 ...
And to the ledge she smiled you wont hurt me no more

But then a sight she'd never seen made her jump and say

Look a golden winged ship is passing my way

And it really didn't have to stop, it just kept on going...

And so castles made of sand slips into the
sea, eventually"

Some days grey is the background, allowing color to be the star.

My art journal page about our trip to the
Japanese Garden in Florida, 2007

I asked a woman who worked at the Japanese Garden
if the leaves change color in the fall.

She said, "No. Some things flower
at different times of the year. At the end of October, it is
beautiful, cool weather here."

Some days you barely notice grey,
unless you look.

do leopards meow or purr?

I do.
I also growl, and bark, sometimes.

Some old outfits when I wore leopard print.
These posts are shown herehere, and here.

and thoroughly enjoyed it

Barbara Hulanicki Beyond Biba movie watch here.
It's beyond inspiring!

In case you don't see the movie:
Here are some of Barbara's architecture and interior designs.
Her website also shows Her fabric printsand

I dig
Beck's version of Bob Dylan's Leopard Skin Pill Box Hat.

Well, you must tell me, baby
How your head feels under somethin’ like that
Under your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat"...

It's that season of the witch.

"When I look out my window,

Many sights to see.
And when I look in my window,
So many different people to be
That it's strange, so strange.
You've got to pick up every stitch
Must be the season of the witch"...Season of the Witch by Donovan

Rain Season
My guy in our hotel West Palm Beach, Florida August 2007

Yes, we went to Florida during their rainy season.
No, we did not pack an umbrella.
Yes, the rain pelted fast and furious.
Yes, we bought this huge umbrella at an art museum.
Yes, we actually used it then.
Yes, my grandma believed that opening umbrellas indoors was bad luck.
No, I don't believe that.
Yes, we still have this umbrella.
No, we never use it now.
Yes, my guy will pose for me.
Yes, I want to bite his toes. ;)

kitties and puzzles

When I was about 6 or 7 years old, we had a kitty cat called Puzzles. We didn't have her for very long.

Obviously this hot blonde chick isn't me.
She's a model.

Little me wa
s told that Puzzles ran away.
This is me at age 6 or 7 yrs. old. Back then I believed whatever my parents told me.

Here's another hot model wearing cute kitty clothes.

I didn't find out until I was an adult, that Puzzles, (the kitty), didn't run away. Instead, she was taken to a shelter (or something). Yeah, apparently she made a mess. My mom doesn't like cats.

My twin nieces, nephew, and their grandma, with actual puzzles, not Puzzles (the kitty), from December 2012.

My nephew Speed Racer with his puzzle, this past Summer, 2013.

Years later I grew allergic to cats. I don't know if I still am, because I take allergy medicine everyday.
I just know that now, when I'm around cats that belong to my friends, I don't seem to have problems. They sure like to come up to me, and want my attention. I don't know why.

At my friend's house that has a cat, in 2011.
(I wish someone would have told me to adjust my blouse
because my breast was hanging out. Jeez).

In 2011, I would tutor at a, mansion like fancy house, twice a week. I would sit in their formal dining room, where I would help their children read.

Another photo of me in 2011.
Omg, is it me, or does it look my breast is popping out again?

While sitting in their fancy chair, their cat would climb up, and sit down right behind me. Yes, on the same chair! I was like, um, okay.
I didn't encourage the behavior. I just thought it was odd. I don't know why their kitty did that. Do you?

Wonderfully pretty!"The Lovecats by The Cure

What do kitties like to eat?
Here's my scrapbook page of:
Japanese Garden Florida August 2007

The other night I watched
2 Broke Girls Episode, And the Kitty Spank Spank.

Maybe somebody should have spanked that fancy kitty, that wanted to share the chair I was already sitting in. There was a huge, long, table full of other chairs it could have used! But no, that kitty wanted to sit behind me.
