in the parking lot

I know it's not exactly the best place to take photos, but we were on our way to see live music.

My tie dyed skirt is thrifted.

Today is still Monday for 12 more minutes.
Therefore, I'm linking up to Two Birds Boutique.

This is the inspiration outfit they chose.
It's actress Michelle Tractenberg.
I've mentioned I like her character Georgina from  the TV show Gossip Girl before, in this old post.

To see how others were inspired by this outfit,
 look at
Inspiration Monday.

My blouse is thrifted.

I won this shoe from  LuLu's
 in this giveawayat Maria's blog
Little Tree Vintage.

My guy's shadow in this photo,
 is my favorite.

I won this necklace from  Vivi Dot
in this giveaway at Melissa's blog
Bubby and Bean.

My mom made the wood bracelet,
and the purple bracelet.

This local band Luke Wade and No Civilians
is who we saw last night.

art journal pages

I drew and painted this
 from one girl image,
that I saw on a book cover.

It says: Interesting how the same image can change in how you see it it, interpret it, express all the feelings, colors, all on the same day. It's almost like she's aging right in front of us.

It says: I should be making a difference.
That's what my 9th grade self wanted.
It's what my college self intended.
It's still something to strive for.

It says: In May, on the couch, I sketched  my nephew JJ, while he slept.
I sketched his twin sister,
while she sat on the floor playing.
She and her sister move around often
It's difficult to catch them being still.

spring green

This is me in 2006,wearing spring green,
even though it was Autumn.
I'm wearing the same belt
I wore from my post yesterday, shown here.

...Colors! I'm so into colors now. I want to eat food that's different colors. I can feel the wind blowing against my face and hear the woods that were mine when I was a kid...

...I took off my shoes and felt the cool green moss on my feet; I smelled the pine needles, the pungent earthy odor of decaying leaves...

...For a moment I stood in alone in a clearing, listening to the muffled silence...
...I've learned that if I shoot an arrow of truth, I must first dip its point in honey...
My nephew on a Spring day.
...I've learned the ancient lesson of apology. -OWN IT. It puts out every fire you may have walked through in life...
My nephew with his dad.
...People often miss the silver lining because they were expecting gold...
My nephew in his very cute hair.
...I've seen the sun go down only to be swallowed by the ocean!
Only to rise again in the morning...

My nephew with his mom.
My nephew with his grandma.
My art journal page.
...It's hard to tell who I am by the trail left by my musical career. I'm the demon  of screamin,
the dude that looks like a lady, the rag doll that married Lucy in the Sky.

Does The Noise In My Head Bother You?
by Steven Tyler
...But I'm also something more than the rock n-roll junky wh#re who got his foot inside the door. Sure, we're all the sum of our experiences. If you listen to the song I wrote in 1969, "Dream On," you might get a different view. I may have not been quite sure of what I was doing, but I was onto something. Just sayin...from Does The Noise In My Head Bother You? by Steven Tyler

Dream On by Aerosmith
"Every time when I look in the mirror
All these lines on my face getting clearer
The past is gone
It went by, like dusk to dawn
Isn't that the way
Everybody's got the dues in life to pay

I know nobody knows
Where it comes and where it goes
I know it's everybody sin
You got to lose to know how to win

Half my life
Is books written pages
Live and learn from fools and
From sages
You know it's true, oh
All these things you do come back to you

Sing with me, sing for the years
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tears
Sing with me, just for today
Dream on
Dream on
Dream on
Dream until your dreams come true
Maybe tomorrow, the good lord will take you away"

like a dalmatian

That would be me,
in my dalmatian polka dot tights.
You've seen these boots a million times.
I'm in my backyard.
Listening to the dog next door,
as it barks incessantly.

The neighbor's dog on the other side barks a lot too,
but whenever I get close to that side of the fence,
I'm afraid it's gonna jump over & bite me.
My cardigan, & skirt are thrifted.
Weird angle photo I took of myself,
so you could see my polka dot headband.

Yes this is another weird photo angle I took of myself too.
The headband is reversible.
The other side is a white background with black dots.
I don't know why I didn't take a photo of that.

I painted, drew, & collaged these art journal pgs.
Close up pg. 1

When you flip it open it says:
 An empty battlefield of Freedom.
Had we reached peace, wrapped in tissue.

I have a friend, who's nickname for her mother is Cruella. It used to be the definition of a female dog. I'm sure none of you have code names, that little ears won't understand.   ;)
